The LS364/450 is among today’s most sought-after crate engines, representing the upgraded crate version of the 6.0L LQ9. While the original LQ9—also known as the Vortec HO 6000 or VortecMAX—was already a solid performer, the LS364/450 features several factory upgrades that take its performance to the next level:

• Enhanced high-flow cylinder heads

• A high-lift camshaft (similar to the LS6 design)

• A slightly increased compression ratio (10.3:1 vs. 10.1:1)

These refinements allow the LS364/450 to deliver significantly more power than the original LQ9.

Performance Output:

• LS364/450: 452 hp @ 5,600 RPM | 441 lb-ft @ 4,800 RPM

• LQ9: 345 hp @ 5,200 RPM | 380 lb-ft @ 4,000 RPM

Just like the LQ9, the LS364/450 is known for its strength, durability, and reliability—making it a favorite among enthusiasts. It’s also one of the most cost-effective Chevrolet Performance crate engines when measured by horsepower per dollar.

What’s Included:
The LS364/450 is supplied without an intake manifold, front accessory drive system, ignition, or fuel system. If you’re replacing an existing LS engine, many of your existing components may be compatible. Otherwise, you can explore our selection of LS intake manifolds, accessory drive systems, and both EFI and carburetor options.

Important Notes:

• Equipped with a Gen III LQ9-style truck oil pan

• Compatible with both 3- and 4-bolt cable-driven throttle bodies

• For Drive-By-Wire (DBW) setups, use a 3-bolt DBW throttle body with an adapter

• Does not include electronics or intake manifold

• Intake manifold must match LS3/L92-style rectangular intake ports

• LS3 or L96 production intake manifolds can be used with an aftermarket adapter plate for early LS three-bolt throttle bodies

• Not designed for marine applications
